Dude, I feel your pain. This one just f%$$%*ed up my Xmas in a bad way.

If there is ANY justice in the Baseball Gods Universe they will crush the Yankees next year, but on paper I don;t see how they can be beat.

BTW, here is what the Yankers have spent so far this off-season on 3...count 'em THREE... free agents:

$423 Million.

That sum is higher than the entire payroll for several complete MLB teams combined. May the Yankees burn in hell for all eternity.

--Must add this....I AM a Red Sox fan, but for anyone who protests that the Sox also spend like drunken sailors, I say yes---but to a point. The Yankees have taken this to a level beyond what is reasonable. The sox were 4th highest in payroll last year....whatever they end up spending this year will be nowhere NEAR the final tally for the Yankers.

This is beyond the pale. $423 Million FOR 3 PLAYERS. And they;re probably not done yet.

What makes all that spending even worse is that they asked the city of New York for $370 million in bonds for their new stadium the same week they signed Sabathia!

...and they'll happily pay up.

I love sports but the public financing of stadiums for owners who can clearly afford to pay for it themselves, and should, drives me nuts.

Let's hope the Red Sox can AT LEAST sign Derek Lowe. Otherwise we can just hand the division to the yankees right now.
